10 a.m. to 4 p.m., – Monday to Friday at École de la Vallée, 167, Principale street, St-Sauveur.

Registration fees: $450 + taxes = $517.39
Last year dance camp participants will receive a 10% discount!

For the benefit of young dance fans in the region, the FASS dance camp is back again this year and Brigitte Valette will be the camp director for the third year in a row!

Open to dance enthusiasts and performers aged 12 to 18, the FASS 2012 Dance Camp is a unique, fun introduction to the professional world of dance.
Program includes ballet, modern and jazz classes. Creation workshops, meetings with artists featured in the FASS 2012 Festival, and as a grand finale: a performance on August 4 on the Desjardins stage!

Furthermore, participants will have the good luck to meet the professional artists that will be performing at the FASS by assisting to the rehearsals and by seeing their performances. Close parents of the participants will get a 50% discount on their ticket purchases for the dance shows (specific dates). A guaranteed delight!

Teacher and choreographer

Brigitte Valette 
Director of the Dance camp FASS 2012 – Ballet
This great artist has been a Principal dancer with major companies such as The Pennsylvania Ballet and Les Ballets de Montréal Eddy Toussaint. She also danced with Les Ballets Jazz and the Pacific Northwest Ballet. She studied dance at the School of American Ballet (Balanchine) in New York and in Belgium at the Mudra school under the direction of Maurice Béjart, among others. She also does Jazz, Tap and Flamenco.

Anik Bissonnette – Guest teacher
Star dancer of international renown, she is also Artistic Director of the FASS, Artistic Director of the École Supérieure de Ballet du Québec.

Manon Sylvestre – Modern dance
A graduate of the Ateliers de danse moderne de Montréal (LADMMI). Founding member and dancer for the Échine Dô collective, from 1999 to 2007. She has been teaching for several years in various dance schools in Montreal and its surroundings.

Jacques Laurent Madiba – Jazz
Jacques Laurent Madiba has a strong training in classical, African, jazz, contemporary dance and a fitness background. He danced and teached in Africa, Europe and Canada and, for many years, danced in the Lion King in Paris. He is also well known as a teacher within many large fitness centres.
